Not all chemical peels are the same. Eva offers a range from light enzyme peels with no downtime to advanced TCA peels for significant correction. The right choice depends on your skin concerns, skin type, and lifestyle.

Enzyme & Light Peels: Gentle/No Downtime

Ideal for maintaining skin health, brightening a dull complexion, managing mild congestion, and gradually improving fine lines. These peels are safe for all skin types and can be done regularly.

No visible peeling in most cases — exfoliation happens at a cellular level. Perfect for clients new to peels or who can't take time away from work or social events.

TCA Peels: Advanced / Corrective

Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) penetrates to the mid-dermis, triggering a deeper renewal response. This is the treatment of choice for significant pigmentation, sun damage, acne scarring, and more pronounced fine lines and wrinkles.

TCA peels require downtime and strict aftercare, but the correction they deliver in a single treatment is dramatically more significant than any light peel series.

Pigmentation Correction Focus

Hyperpigmentation is one of the most common and stubborn skin concerns — and one that chemical peels address better than almost any other treatment. By accelerating cell turnover and breaking down melanin deposits, targeted peels clear discoloration that topical skincare alone cannot reach.

Eva selects the appropriate acid type and concentration based on your specific pigmentation pattern, skin tone, and history. Treating the wrong type of pigmentation with the wrong peel can make it worse — which is why professional assessment matters.

Types of Pigmentation We Treat

1. Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH): Dark marks left after acne, injuries, or irritation. TCA and lactic acid peels are highly effective at accelerating the fading process.

2. Sun Damage & Age Spots: Solar lentigines (age spots) and diffuse sun damage respond well to TCA peels, which trigger deep turnover and destroy excess melanocyte activity.

3. Melasma: Hormonally driven pigmentation that requires careful management. Gentler peels combined with home-care protocols are used to avoid triggering a rebound response.‍

4. Uneven Skin Tone: Generalized dullness and uneven tone without a specific pigmentation pattern responds beautifully to a series of light-to-medium peels for a luminous result.

Downtime Expectations

Enzyme & Light Peels

Minimal to no downtime. Skin may feel tight and look slightly pink for a few hours. Normal activities and light makeup can typically resume the same day. Gentle flaking may occur over 2–4 days without being visible to others.

TCA Peels

Expect 5–10 days of visible peeling. The skin will feel tight and look bronzed initially, then begin to peel in sheets from days 3–7. Most clients plan to avoid social obligations for the first week. The result on the other side is worth it.

TCA Peel — Day-by-Day Timeline

Day 1–2: Skin looks bronzed and feels tight. A frosting effect may appear immediately after treatment. No peeling yet.

Day 3: Skin begins to darken further and feel very tight. The peeling process is about to begin. Do not moisturize heavily — let it happen.

Day 4–6: Active peeling. Skin comes off in sheets, revealing fresh new skin underneath. Do not pick or peel manually — let it shed naturally.

Day 7–8: Most peeling is complete. Skin looks pink and feels sensitive. Mineral SPF 50 is your most important product at this stage.

Week 2–3: Pinkness fades. Skin tone and pigmentation correction becomes increasingly visible. Collagen response continues.

Week 4–6: Final results visible. Pigmentation significantly reduced, texture smoother, skin noticeably more luminous. SPF daily from here forward.
