What Microneedling Treats

Microneedling - also called collagen induction therapy - uses a precision device to create thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin. Your body responds by producing new collagen and elastin, remodeling the skin from the inside out.

It's one of the most versatile and evidence-backed treatments in corrective esthetics, addressing a wide range of concerns with consistent, lasting results.

Eva tailors every session to your specific skin concerns, using professional-grade equipment and serums - not the at-home rollers you'll find on Amazon. The difference in results is significant.

What To Expect

Step 1: Consultation & Skin Assessment

Eva reviews your skin history, concerns, and goals. She selects the appropriate needle depth and any targeted serums for your skin type.

Step 2: Numbing Cream Application

A professional topical numbing cream is applied and left for 30–45 minutes. Most clients experience only mild pressure during the treatment itself.

Step 3: Microneedling Treatment

Eva performs the treatment using a professional microneedling device, passing systematically over the treatment area. Sessions typically take 45–60 minutes.

Step 4: Serum & Recovery Care

A soothing, growth-factor-rich serum is applied immediately after. Eva walks you through your at-home aftercare instructions before you leave.

Downtime & Recovery

Most clients look completely normal within 48–72 hours and see initial results within 2–4 weeks. Full collagen remodeling continues for up to 6 months after treatment.

Day 1:

Redness similar to a mild sunburn. Skin feels warm and tight. Avoid makeup, sun exposure, and active skincare products.

Day 2–3:

Redness fades to pinkness. Light flaking or tightness may begin. Continue gentle cleansing only - no exfoliants or actives.

Day 4–5:

Skin begins to feel softer. Any flaking resolves. Mineral sunscreen is your most important product at this stage.

Day 6–7:

Skin looks clear and may already appear more radiant. You can reintroduce your normal routine gradually.

Week 2–4:

Collagen production ramps up. Texture improvement and scar fading become visible. Skin feels noticeably firmer.

Month 2–6:

Progressive improvement continues. Most clients see peak results around 3 months post-treatment as collagen matures.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is microneedling painful?

With proper numbing cream, most clients describe the sensation as mild pressure or vibration rather than pain. The forehead and around the nose can be slightly more sensitive. Eva uses a professional-grade numbing protocol to keep you comfortable throughout.

How many sessions will I need?

Most clients see meaningful improvement in 2–3 sessions. For deeper acne scars or more significant concerns, a series of 4–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart is recommended. Eva will give you a realistic estimate at your consultation.

How long do results last?

Results from microneedling are long-lasting because they're built on real collagen your body produces. Scar improvement is permanent. Anti-aging benefits typically last 12–18 months, after which maintenance sessions (1–2 per year) are recommended.

Can microneedling help dark skin tones?

Yes - microneedling is safe for all skin tones, including deeper Fitzpatrick skin types. Unlike some laser treatments, microneedling does not carry a significant risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation when performed correctly. Eva will customize your treatment accordingly.

When can I wear makeup after treatment?

We recommend waiting at least 24-48 hours before applying makeup. Mineral makeup is gentler than liquid formulas for your first application back. Your skin is more permeable right after treatment, so anything you apply goes deeper - clean products only.

What's the difference between this and a dermaroller?

Professional microneedling uses a motor-driven pen device with adjustable depth (0.25mm - 2.5mm), which creates vertical channels for controlled collagen stimulation. At-home dermarollers use a rolling motion that can tear the skin at an angle, cause inconsistent depth, and carry infection risk. The results are not comparable.
